War for Re-election

From a Reuters piece printed in the UAE's Gulf News:

According to Iraqi analyst Mustafa Alani of London's Royal United Services Institute, war is unavoidable. "There is no way the U.S. administration will change its mind on the removal of the Iraqi regime. Bush can't be re-elected in 2004 if Saddam is still in power," he said.
