Liberal Media?

Eric Alterman's counter to the right wing's "liberal media" claim is coming out this week. What Liberal Media? will be released on Tuesday. You can read the book's introduction, here.

And don't forget Robert McChesney's book, Rich Media, Poor Democracy, either. That book doesn't address the "liberal media" claim explicitly, but it's nonetheless an excellent take on the institutional biases of the media, as well as the corporate media's role in forging an (un)informed democratic polity.
