Oil and the Iraq War

Faisal Islam of the Observer reports, "The world will suffer a bigger oil crisis than that during the Arab-Israeli conflict of 1973 if the US declares war on Iraq, according to leading US investment bank Goldman Sachs."

On a related note, Milan Rai, author of the recently-released War Plan Iraq: Ten Reasons Against War, argues that Iraq will not be a "war for oil." Rather, it will be "a war to control the profits that flow from oil."
