War on "circumstantial evidence"?
The AP reports that Colin Powell will not be bringing a "smoking gun" when he goes before the UN next week to present evidence that Iraq is hiding WMDs. Rather, he will try to make a "convincing case" by presenting "circumstantial evidence" that "clearly shows" Iraq to be in violation ("material breach") of 1441.
Do they really think that circumstantial evidence will then justiify a war? Umm, I guess you know the answer to that already...
