White House backs off on Medicare "reform"

The Bush administration likely startled a bunch of seniors with their recently announced plans to mess with Medicare, so they're backing off on the proposal. For now.

Update: They haven't backed off, after all. It's clear from Bush's speech today to the AMA that privatization is still the goal.
