Bombings in Iraq
Taking a closer look at the fallout from the bombings in Baghdad and Karbala on Tuesday, Matthew Clark of the CSM reports that the US is pointing to Abu Musab al-Zarqawi as the ringleader behind the violence, which seems designed to provoke further hostility towards the US for failing to provide security and foment animosity between Sunnis and Shi'ites.
The bombings, it might also be noted, came amidst a string of good news items emerging out of Iraq.
