Abuse out of control

As more Iraqis detail abuse at the Abu Ghraib prison in Baghdad, the LA Times reports that new accounts from US military personnel paint "a portrait of a prison that spun out of control last fall as thousands of captured Iraqis poured into its razor-wire confines."

Meanwhile, in the UK, there have been some doubts cast over the authenticity of some of the photos of torture allegedly taken by British soldiers in Iraq. This news appeared alongside claims that hundreds of photos of abuse were swapped by British soldiers in southern Iraq.

For both the Brits and the Americans, it is safe to say, the image battle has been lost in Iraq.
