The real Hamas?

Helena Cobban has a very good article on Hamas for Salon. It's probably the best thing that I've seen over the last few months on the topic, in large measure because it's not dripping with the shameless fear-mongering that features prominently in most commentary.

Cobban's recent blog postings, which narrate her recent trip to Israel and the Palestinian territories, are also worth checking out.
