IDF war crimes, with US 'aid'

Jim Lobe relays the findings of a new HRW report on Israel's attack against Lebanon:

The 50-page report, "Fatal Strikes: Israel's Indiscriminate Attacks Against Civilians in Lebanon," detailed nearly two dozen cases of IDF attacks in which a total of 153 civilians, including 63 children, were killed in homes or motor vehicles.

In none of the cases did HRW researchers find evidence that there was a significant enough military objective to justify the attack, given the risks to civilian lives, while, in many cases, there was no identifiable military target. In still other cases cited in the report, Israeli forces appear to have deliberately targeted civilians.
Big surprise. A related IPS story from Thalif Deen also details the Americans' lovely gambit of providing "aid" to those Lebanese "caught in the crossfire" with one hand, while shipping Israel the very arms that virtually guarantee that said "aid" will have to be administered with the other.

For instance, regarding Qana, this should not come as a surprise:
It has been revealed that the bombs used in the attacks Israel launched on the southern Lebanese village of Qana were produced by the US.

At least 60 civilians, most of whom were children had been killed in the attack.

The British newspaper Guardian reported that the bombs used in the attacks were laser-controlled BSU 37/B bunker busters manufactured by the US.

The Independent claimed that inscriptions on shrapnel found at the sight of the attack indicate that the bombs were manufactured by the US.
As I've said before, Arabs have long been able to connect the dots. We may not be allowed to do that here in the US, but that doesn't affect their ability to peel the casings out of their hollowed-out dwellings, dust 'em off, and read the faded 'Made in USA' label.
