On Finkelstein and Dershowitz

Howard Friel gives Dershowitz a deserved lashing here.

If you get the chance, check out the new book by Friel and Richard Falk, Israel-Palestine on Record: How The New York Times Misreports Conflict in the Middle East, if only to peruse the chapter titled "Chomsky and Dershowitz." In it, Friel and Falk do a very tidy job ripping Dershowitz to shreds in a short span of pages via an examination of his book, The Case for Israel. The other focus of the chapter is on Ethan Bronner, a frequent book reviewer for the Times who is about as credible and fair as Dershowitz in his appraisal of works on the I-P conflict. It's an illustrative read.
