Sadrist happenings

Muqtada al-Sadr may be fine-tuning his tactics in Iraq, but he's probably lucky to be alive today. Patrick Cockburn claims the Americans tried luring the 33-year old cleric to a meeting under false pretenses in order to kill or capture him after the 2004 uprisings in Najaf.

In related news, US military personnel muse about having to turn Sadr City into a "second Fallujah." More loveliness to come, I'm sure.
