Lockerbie revisited

This LRB piece by Hugh Miles walks through the 1988 bombing of Pan Am Flight 103, highlighting reasons why many believe Abdelbaset Ali al-Megrahi, the lone individual charged for the bombing, is innocent.

The essay comes along at a time when al-Megrahi's lawyers are trying to push through an appeal, while the Scottish press is full of stories saying that the evidence against al-Megrahi was tampered with and, in some instances, outright falsified.
