WMD-Free?

Every once in a while we need to remind ourselves this: in many respects, the Clinton administration paved the way for Bush's Iraq debacle. Yes, this is in part because of staunch lobbying by Kristol's Krew, but that's really no excuse -- and indeed the driving force behind the '90s policy is more complicated, i.e. the Clintonites also fretted over Hussein's "destabilizing influence" on the flow of Mid East oil.
