Anti War Blogburst on Oct. 7

In a comment on one of my past posts, Skippy pointed out the upcoming anti-war blogburst on October 7th. This has been floating around for a bit, but I failed to post anything on it previously. Ampersand is coordinating the effort:

My proposal: All bloggers who oppose this proposed invasion of Iraq, write and send an open letter, to your congressfolks or your local daily paper, on Monday, October 7th (the birthday of both Oliver North and Desmond Tutu). Letters to the editor should be very short (under 200 words) and snappy, for the best chance of publication; letters to Congress should be polite and spellchecked, for obvious reasons.

In addition, sometime on Monday October 7th (or even on Sunday the 6th, if that works better for you), post your letter on your blog, along with this text (or something like it): "The following is part of a blogburst, a simultaneous, cross-linked posting of many blogs on a single theme. For a guide to other letters in this blogburst, go to The Open Letters BlogBurst Index, at www.amptoons.com/openletters/."

Email me the link to your letter once it's up, and I'll post a link to it on this page (For extra credit, help publicize it ahead of time by linking to the Open Letters BlogBurst page in your blog, and on the day of the blogburst link to any of the other participants' letters that you liked, or that you want to comment on).
Go here for more specific details. I'll be participating. You should, too...
